Which American Crew Product To Use?

I am an Asian with semi-short hair. I have bangs that go a little over my eyes and semi-long side fringes. My hair is pretty straight (except after showers).
I want to make bits of my hair spiked up but without all the hardness that gel gives you will stay in place.
I am thinking of using american crew products instead of gatsby because I can’t obtain gatsby, but I do not know which american crew product to use?
