What Is Your Favorite Natural/safe Ingredient-formulated Skin Care Line?

What is your favorite natural/safe ingredient-formulated skin care line? (Apologies for putting in this category – it’s just that I know vegans/vegetarians would know what I’m talking about!) Thanks for any help! :)

Nature’s Gate. They have the whole line at Wholefoods. It’s awesome – it’s the only skin care line that does not make me break out.

Don’t spend a lot of money on fancy skin care products. That’s just an elitist form of consumerism. buy an aloe vera plant. split the leaf. rub on skin.

I love Body Shop. I don’t think I could live without their shampoo.

I agree with cynthia z. Aubrey Organics is by far the best company for vegans. Everything is labeled as such(or not as such) and works really well. I started buying this line because, as cynthia said, I would have eaten it! the selenium shampoo works really well on my husbands ummm dry scalp issues. The lotion is divine. The only thing is that the sunscreen turns you whitish. The best website for natural skin/beauty products is http://www.saffronrouge.com. The exception to aubrey’s is that I absolutely LOVE Dessert Essence’s liquid face soap. Dr. Bronner’s is the best body soap–organic and fair trade!

Tom’s of Maine is now owned by Colgate. Not animal-friendly.
Jason cosmetics claims to be 100% cruelty free – down to their ingredient sources.
Try making your own cosmetics – it’s a great hobby, and then you’ll actually know where your ingredients come from.

Hands down the best skin care line especially for vegans is Aubrey Organics. The ingrediants are super simple and you could literally eat it and be fine. Thats my moto when buying skin care products if I would be sick eating any of the things in it I dont want it.
Whatever line you choose make sure to check for any sodium laurth sulfate or any sulfates for that matter and also check for anyhting ending with parabin…baddd things!!
    Good luck!
