i think jilbere de paris will work for you. my best friend is african american and she uses this flat iron 3 times a week, as she abuses it, yet it works the way it is working now from the day it was bought. after she used this flat iron, it was too silky to tie around. so i am buying the same one too.
revlon wet2straight is freaking awesome! i have 3 nieces w thick coarse curly africian amercan hair and my sister says it works great on all of them
it has 30 settings so you can use it wet or dry and i looove it its only about 25 for the bigger one and they have them everywhere
