What Happens If You Use Regular Shampoo On Colored Hair?

I have permanent hair dye. My original hair color is black but I just went down a couple shades to dark brown. I’m on vacation right now and don’t want to buy a big bottle of color safe shampoo for only a couple days.
If I just use regular shampoo a couple times, will it do anything?

It shouldn’t be a problem. Usually the sulfate agents in regular shampoo are stronger and it makes dye fade faster. Since your hair is bleached or lifted to a lighter shade, fading won’t really be a problem.
It’s only bad to use regular shampoo when your hair is blonde or bleached and you dye it dark brown. Regular shampoo will strip the color out more quickly

NO, i dye my hair and wash it with regular shampoo and it doesn’t do anything, the first couple of days after you dye it , you will see it when you rinse your hair but it wont take the color out or dull it, it takes awhile, i dyed my hair last october it is just now coming out.
