I dye my hair red, and red fades the most. Other than shampoo and conditioner for colored hair, what are the best products that keep colored hair from fading?

Anything that does not contain sodium lauryl (laureth) sulfate.
Or sulfates in general.
They strip color from hair like acetone strips polish from nails.
Look for sulfate free shampoos and conditioners.
Pureology, The Tigi Superstar Line, etc. – most of the time if you go into a store and ask what their sulfate free lines are, they’ll be able to tell you.
My personal favorites have been Pureology (you can get this at Target, CVS, or salons), and Superstar by Tigi – smells like strawberry sorbet.
Also – by “shampoo and conditioner for colored hair” I’m not sure if you mean “colorsafe shampoo” or color depositing shampoos and conditioners.
Colorsafe shampoos aren’t usually as “color safe” as they tout themselves to be. Like I said before, you need to steer clear of products that have SLS as one of the top ingredients.
Also – you can buy color depositing shampoos – the L’Oreal Colorist collection line are the best.
I know you can usually get these from salons that use L’Oreal color (majarel, etc) otherwise you could probably find it online.
