I have ugly frizzy thick curly hair
Its not the pretty curls
Its the nappy untame-able curls :[
I’ve used many products…
John Frida (Sorry about spelling)
BioSilk
Moroccan Oil
Pantene
Bed Head
etc
I’ve been straightening my hair everyday with a sedu
It works very well but im noticing that my hair is drying out a lot now
I really want to relax my hair…
But Im afraid of it snapping off or burning/frying
What should I do??
(by the way im 13 if It matters and i’ve used the gels and serums before they really don’t work for me )
THANK YOU IN ADVANCED

This is what I suggest. Instead of chemically relaxing it which is very damaging, why not have your stylist run a perm through it instead. Yes I said a perm!!! It works as a straightener as long as you don’t use rollers. This way it’s not as harsh. It will make your hair about 80-90% straighter.
ok well there are some hair straightening products for kids out there. you should try that but dont relax it all at once try it out first on one lock of hair and see how it turns out if you like it then go for it. It is much better than straightenning your hair every day that can be tiring and can really harm your hair in the long run. especially because your young. good luuck! Hope this helps.
I have the same kind of hair so I know what you mean and I’ve totally fried it straightening it all the time. I wish I could help you. Sorry.
Try Paul Mitchell’s Straightenting Balm Lotion
ur hair is not ugly, african american hair is unique and different.
i hope these help
I know you mentioned that sprays and serums don’t work for you, but my friend has the same issue and she uses something call BB Hair Tonic and she says it works like a charm because it starts at the roots and actually treats your hair as it grows, but its also completely natural and not too exspensive. Also I would say some good home remedies would be to (as weird as these may sound); flour, milk, butter, and egg put together, put on your hair(not near the roots) and then let it sit for a few minutes and rinse it very well, then comb through your hair and wrap it in a towel and let it dry, also using natural oils(not cookin oils- things like tea tree oil) tend too lessen frizz and tame curls as long as you don’t put on too much, or you can put on a lot if you let it sit and then gently rinse it out afterwards.
I hope this helps, and sorry of it doesn’t.
Eat some chocolate, it fixes everything. (:
