I dyed my hair black around winter break, big mistake. So I tried dying it brown over it. Even bigger mistake. Then I went to the salon, got the color stripped and dyed a “light brown with red undertones” Problem was once it was stripped it was orange, and who knew that orange and brown with red undertones wouldn’t come out brown but RED. So anyway the red looked hideous with my complexion so I re-dyed it a brown color, problem there was there wasn’t enough dye so now I have very blotchy hair but that’s not my concern, all this dying and stripping really killed my hair. It’s so much more unmanagable, please help!
I have the moroccan oil line of products I’ve only used the mask once and the oil on a regular basis but it’s just not cutting it. Any other suggestions?

well first of all i knew red/brown over orange would be RED and your hairdresser should have known that too.
when you wash your hair, leave the conditioner in for 5 min. that will help a little, try not to blowdry, flat iron or curl it, but if you must then be sure to use a heat protector like kenra thermal styling spray.
dont put it in a ponytail or brush it wet, your hair is more fragile wet than dry so use a pick or a wide tooth comb.
the problem with severe hair damage is that you cant “FIX” it you just have to be carefull with it so you dont make it worse and let it grow out.
there are some professional deep conditioning treatments that might help you as well, but i wouldnt suggest going to the same person who didnt know you were going to end up red.
p.s.
box color is at least twice as damaging as professional color so next time skip the drugstore and go streight to the salon.
put egg in your hair
and Mayo (natural conditioner)
and do this every week
my hair got REALLLYY NICE and long with that
also protect your hair from harmful chemicals
instead of buying hair products that make your hair “better”
just buy oil from a grocery store
its cheaper and works way better then anything
Don’t straightn it
or anything
get regular trims
goodluck
Olive oil!
make red hair manage or sharpie it
Ignore the silly PUT MAYO in your hair comments as that is not the way to go about it. Damaged hair is a serious thing and putting mayo will not do anything for it. Here are a few tips and products that will help nourish your hair.
1) Steer clear from straightners and curlers use once a week maxium. Hot irons and tongs dry out the hair and deprive it of the nutrients and protein it needs.
2) MAKE SURE you are using a hair treatment twice a week. I would recomend in your condition a Rekden hair mask. The link for the product is here: http://www.lookfantastic.com/hair/redken... This is the cheapest you will get this product in salons it is usually around £20. With this product you need to use it twice a week and use a small amount (about the size of a 50p) this will make your hair stronger, softer and give it more protein which is essential in hair growth and devolpment
3) Get regular trims and wait for the colour to fade!
Good luck, if you have any othet queries don’t hesistate to ask just email me on xTabithacatex@hotmail.co.uk
