I wear glasses and don’t have contacts or any plans to get them. Are there polarized sunglasses out there that fit over normal glasses or is there some other solution?

YES! there is a version, I’ve seen them on some UK fishing tackle sites, but i haven’t looked for ones here in the US, they are called cocoons and they fit over your ordinary glasses
Found them, these are better than the clip on versions which can fall offhttp://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa…
When I get new glasses I also get a pair of polarized sunglasses, same prescription. I spend enough time outdoors that they aren’t just fishing glasses. Polarized lenses are more expensive than plain old tinted lenses, but if you figure you’ll be using them for a few years, the difference doesn’t add up to much.
(I lost enough clip-ons over the side in the past that I don’t even consider them any more, polarized or not.)
A lot of names are out there, but “Polaroid” is the only brand that lets you see way down into even murky water. Automobile windows used to be tinted by Polaroid. They invented this glare reducing idea. So, I’d say over 95% of sunglasses are a lot of wasted money. Does Polaroid still make sunglasses?
I have two good options for you. I had a pair made when I got my new glasses. They are the actual size of my frames, clip on and flip up. I was without them while Steelhead fishing in Oregon. Went to a Walmart, go into the sporting section they have a couple different type that go over and clip on. Around $15 as I remember.
I know guys that wear “overcast” glasses. They are polarized and fit over normal glasses. Also major sunglass companies offer perscription polarized glasses.
I too am a non contact wearer but I merely got prescription sunglasses that are polarized. I like the Costa Del Mar line of sunglasses and they are used by all kinds of tournament fisherman. Good luck!http://www.costadelmar.com/
