What are my choices in the fashion industry other then a fashion designer, which I wish I could be but I have no clue on how to sew or draw. Where can I start and work my way up to……Please help! I am 20 and I want to get on the get go. I am not in a fashion school or anything. Because I wanted to be a lawyer but I noticed that I really want to be in the fashion world. I love fashion and I am always into the new fashion.

Go to a fashion school:)
You need to do your research…look for fashion schools and the courses offered. The class schedule will give you an idea of what career paths are offered in that field. Some fashion houses offer apprentice positions but you have to do your research. Start taking sewing classes. Look at books to help you be able to draw simple drawings. Get on it already.
Have you ever heard of the book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill? Well, I can’t remember the exact circumstance, but there’s advice inthe book, about becoming an apprentice for someone high up in the company (preferably all the way up, no mid-management yo-yos here) and not get paid for it. In exchange, what you will learn will be invaluable if done right.
For your specific circumstance, you will get to know the “industry” from the back end. You’ll see if you really like how things are done, how they are handled, how the true geniuses of the industry got that way, and not just because they had money and a good marketing team to back them up either.
The book is totally worth looking at. Check it out at a local Borders or something for free and you’ll see what I mean.
Here’s a little snippet from Amazon, btw:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/product…
Good luck to you
PS: btw, this is an old, tried and true technique. for your generation, if all this sounds like some old-person mumbo jumbo (as it sounded like that to me when i was 17 when i first heard about it), well, i think Diddy got started this way at least. i’m sure u know him
Self-help books will get your thinking process right and when you have that down all things are possible.
Think And Grow Rich is great and another great one is The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy. Don’t just read it, put it into practice. Do what the book book suggests and your life will change quickly.
