How Much Would It Cost To Get Colored Hair Extensions?

I wanted to dye a few strands of hair on the bottom a different color, something different like blue, but my neighbor told me it wouldn’t look right unless I bleached it first. She also told me about small extensions I can get instead.
She said I could get two strands and split them to get four.
I have two questions, does anyone know how much it would cost and if it would look fake at all?

To buy colour streaks is not that expensive, and it will look as natural as blue hair can look, meaning, it will look exactly like your hair only blue.

if you want the blue
you have to bleach first
there are seperate extensions for like $50 or more
but then there are to much clips in your hair and it looks fake that way
just simply bleach, and dye it.
