I send all my hair color clients home with shampoo, conditioner and a leave-in product designed for color treated hair. Keep in mind that there are products for “color treated hair” and there are “color safe” products”. What you need are the “colored treated..” variety. Since you are already using a shampoo and conditioner designed for color treated hair, you just need the color preserving leave-in product. These links go to a few of my favorites as good examples of what will help keep your hair healthy and minimize fading. I use the Paul Mitchell on every client that sits in my chair. I send the Matrix product home with every client that swims and I use the Wella product on every client that has problems with tangles. Good luckhttp://www.paulmitchell.com/Products/Pau…http://www.matrix.com/products/biolage/s…http://www.wellausa.com/consumer/product…
stay out of the sun and clorine aand salt water. use some spf on your hair, wear a wide brimmed hat.these can fade your hair. use color specified products like you are doing now.
Red is the hardest color to keep. If you live in a sunny area the sun will fade it out. Try this put a table spoon of olive oil in your shampoo. The olive oil will coat the hair shaft and prevent the sun from getting to the hair. Also it will give your hair a shine.
I’ve been doing hair for over thirty years.
Hope this helps.
there are some shampoos and conditioners that can help you maintain the coloured hair, because they have all natural things in them. on the container look for all natural. stay out of the sun and chlorine water
