Does Stripping Your Hair Color From A Salon Make Your Hair Really Dead?

I used to have light brown hair and I’ve been coloring it dark brown for about a year and now I’m sick of it! I want blonde hair, but I’m told the only way to get it is to strip my hair color and then dye it. Will it make my hair super dead?

Yeah. Just bleach it. Buy blonde toner to get rid of the orange. (you can get it at sallys) Then deep condition.

yes it is the worst thing for you to ever do to your hair
    rly harmful too
but bleaching is bad too and you may get your hair back alive but it takes months
    ://
and stripping may take 6 months
and you have to do everything healthy for it
    like low ph shampoos
    clearifying your hair
    ect.

yes, it will. my hairstylist refused to strip my hair. so im currently still letting my hair lighten from dark brown. it does take awhile, but once it gets lighter, you can dye it to blonde and it should work. unless you are really willing to damage your hair..

Hair is already dead. It will damage it though. Anytime you color or bleach, you are damaging your hair. But with the right products, regular trims, and treatments your hair will become healthier.

You don’t have to strip your hair colour, you just get blonde dye and use it.

Hair is dead anyway, it is dead cells. So I dont know how it could get any deader.

yea it makes it really dead…
but dying your hair too much also makes it dead.
